In Massina, players have 4 categories of Champions — — Prime Eternals, Eternals, Gladiators, and Challengers, of which players can throw into battle. Each Champion belongs to one of the 12 great families, which in turn fall into 6 categories. Each Champion is made of different basic properties and functional parts, which can show unique abilities and advantages in the game. The winner of the duel can absorb the bones of fallen opponents to forge weapons, armor and equipment, and become stronger to enter the next stage of the game. In addition, players can also compete for land ownership, build a forge to craft magical equipment, fuse to create more powerful “Champions”.

1. Hero Structure
Each hero belongs to one of the 12 families, which are divided into 6 classes with 2 families in each class. Each hero also gains core strength from 7 Essences:
There are advantages/disadvantages of the Essences, which is one of the key parts of the rules of battle.
There are 6 functional parts and various cosmetic parts for each hero. Each feature section has different stats, and all sections contribute differently to a hero’s overall stats and abilities.
Each hero has 5 active (out of 6) feature sections, which means that one of them will be suppressed. However, all 6 genes will be present, so they can be passed on when breeding new heroes.
Because each part contributes to the hero’s abilities in different ways, which provides interesting options for combat, and each hero will have different advantages over other heroes based on the family and class they belong to and the nature of their parts /disadvantage.
A specific one of the 7 essences flows through each functional part, and when the essence of a part matches that of the hero’s core, the part’s attributes are boosted. The number of parts that match the hero core essence is reflected in the overall purity, which translates into an extra boost that affects the inheritance of genes, both during combat and breeding, increasing the likelihood of carrying genes that contribute to purity.
Decorative parts have their own rarities (like hair and piercings) to make sure we’re visually appealing to the hero. Plus, your heroes are rendered as 3D models that interact with other players’ heroes, so having rare cosmetic items means you can show off your amazing style to others!
2. Hero level
All playable heroes are divided into 4 levels — —
A lower level hero can advance to the next higher level after meeting certain prerequisites, such as reaching a certain level at the current level and completing a promotion challenge. To level up your hero, you need to consume coins and in-game resources, which you can earn by playing and fighting other players. You can take your heroes along the following paths of ascension:
Challenger → Gladiator → Eternal
Raising your heroes to higher tiers can boost their stats, give them more offspring and access to exclusive battle modes and areas in the world, and thus unlock more abilities. Additionally, each tier of heroes will have different $ESSENCE daily and long-term payoffs. Earning limits increase as your hero level increases, so boosting your hero will provide more opportunities to earn $ESSENCE. Finally, in the finals, the Eternal Tier grants your hero immortality. The Prime Eternals tier is only available to the 7,622 Prime Eternals that have been released and will never be released again.
4. Death and Resurrection
If your character goes down in a deathmatch, it will enter a soul state that lasts for a limited time. Eternals who enter a state of soul will be resurrected and made whole in their family shrine. Necromancers can revive other heroes for a fee. If you decide not to revive or your soul state ends, you can take the bloody remnants to the Bone Department and harvest them as raw materials: $BONE and $ESSENCE, by which you can use to start over or forge new gear.
5. Prime Eternals
The market will initially be seeded from the descendants of our 7622 Prime Eternals — a limited release hero in the highest ascension form, which are the only heroes in this tier, and they have divine parts that no other hero can ever use. The probability that a part can be divine is set to 14.3%, which results in the following distribution:

Prime Eternals and its components are aligned with the essences of life, death and arcane. To expand the population with heroes and partial essences, we plan to release the Elementals, who are the Eternals aligned with the essences of fire, water, earth and wind. These timeless elements will have new parts, and through breeding, players will be able to create heroes that may have any combination of existing essences and parts.
Prime Eternals, Eternals and Gladiators can be used to breed new Challengers. Players need 2 breeders of the same level to breed challenger. Challengers cannot be nurtured, but they can be raised to a level where they can be nurtured. In order to multiply, players need specific game coins to combine. The number of tokens required for breeding will vary depending on the breeder’s current number of breeds and their tier at the time of breeding.
The breed count per breeder is limited to 3, which determines the total number of possible direct descendants. When a hero is promoted to a new level, the breed count is reset, so newly promoted heroes can be bred again, and new offspring can be created from promoted heroes, even if the previous level’s breed count reaches the limit. Additionally, Prime Eternals will be hosting special events where breed counts will be reset so Prime Eternals can pass the new breeding cycle and limits.
Each hero has a genome consisting of dominant and recessive genes for each part. The structure of the offspring, its essence and parts, comes from the genome of the breeding hero, where dominant and recessive genes determine the expression and inheritance probability of a certain gene. To maintain population diversity, heroes will not be able to breed with their offspring, and offspring with the same parents will not be able to breed with each other. Divine parts that exist only in Prime Eternal, will only be passed on as their non-holy counterparts, which ensures that divinity exists only between Prime Eternal.
8. Forged gears
Your heroes won’t always fight with their default weapons. There are many different types of resources that can be obtained through PvP and PvE battles and other sources such as mining and quest rewards, some of which are raw materials for gear forging.
In addition to materials, gear forging requires gear blueprints, which are also limited in the world. Certain tiers of heroes can be tasked with forging gear for their masters. Forged Gears are limited-edition NFTs created by players that can be equipped by the player’s own hero or sold to others.
To craft equipment, players need to use the Equipment Forge, Blueprints and spend $ESSENCE to craft equipment from these Blueprints. Players own this gear and can use it in battle to improve their chances of winning, or sell it on the market for others to use.
9. Land ownership
