Project information
Brief Introduction of the Project
CyBall is a dual-chain environment project originally released on BSC. It is a football theme NFT game project where users can collect, trade, coach and ultimately play through the game Play-to-Earn while using CyBloc against each other in various CyBall stadiums. CyBloc is a Cyborg on the blockchain, and each CyBloc is represented as an NFT, belonging to a certain profession with 1 to 3 unique traits, and is equipped with 6 football skills: tackle, pass, dribbling, crossing, shooting and fitness. Each Genesis Pack can be exchanged for a Genesis CyBloc, whose classes, traits, and skill levels will be randomly assigned at minting. The chances of getting different CyBloc classes vary by package type.

Team Introduction

Aaron Yee Co-founder
Aaron, former Aminoca Product Manager, has over 10 years of game development experience from conception to launch. When it comes to game design and development, he can see it all. He started out as a game designer for Disney’s Frozen, then worked in mobile publishing at Animoca Brands, sourcing games and merging them with popular IPs. After a stint at SoftBank, he is now back in the gaming industry and is currently involved in several crypto gaming projects. When he’s not preaching Pixar’s “Story is King” motto, you’ll find Aaron playing Warzone, Tsum Tsum Stadium, and Diablo.
Long Vuong Co-Founding Advisor
Long, the CEO and founder of TomoChain, brings a lot of blockchain technology knowledge to CyBall. As a blockchain guru and economics expert, Long has advised several blockchain projects around the world and contributed to confirming the value of this technology by developing practical products. Currently, at TomoChain, Long leads the product and ecosystem strategy with well-known products such as TomoMaster, Governance Dapp, TomoX, Exchange Protocol, and TomoZ Token Protocol.
Tin Tran Co-founder
Tin oversees the entire technical strategy and operations from product design to development across different teams. Coming from an engineering background, he has grown into a blockchain enthusiast since 2017 and a DeFi researcher since 2020. Tin helped turn the various ridiculous ideas of other team members into detailed instructions that could actually be implemented. Aside from being a seasoned Dota 2 gamer, not many people realize he is also a seasoned ape, sitting near the top of the DegenScore leaderboard.
Kevin Bui Co-founder
Kevin brings a wealth of marketing and branding expertise after successfully launching his own Australian athleisure apparel company. He has a keen eye for design and a deeper intuition for market trends and behaviors. After seeing the early days of Crypto Verse, Kevin has been devoting a lot of time to understanding crypto-economics, trends and the industry as a whole. At CyBall, Kevin is the design lead, thanks to his meticulous nature, and his idea for a break is to do 300+kg deadlifts (no joke, there’s a video to prove it).

Gameplay
The game is divided into 2 modes: PVP and PVE, and you can start the game with the character NFT. If you win, you can get in-game rewards, which is the core gameplay in the game. Usually, you should use your own three NFTs or five NFTs to participate respectively. At the beginning of each half, users will get 6 tactical cards, and the match engine will refer to the key match criteria to compare the total skill scores of the two teams. Also, there may be a draw of strategy to judge winning or losing.
CyBlocs have 5 categories, each with a different overall skill level and rarity: Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Legendary.
It was mentioned before that CyBlocs may have one, two or three properties, which can affect multiple areas from game mechanics to potential rewards, and if a CyBloc has multiple similar or related properties, they can stack. The rarities also vary along as: Common, Rare, and Super Rare.
CyBloc earns 1 free skill point at each level up and including level 1, up to a maximum level of 100, and these free skill points can be assigned to any of CyBloc’s six skills, up to a maximum of 40 points per skill points, which means that this type of card has a certain collection value.
Level up Details
1. Character characteristics
Traits are innate abilities of CyBloc and are class-independent (i.e. higher class does not mean better traits and vice versa). Traits can affect multiple areas from game mechanics to potential rewards, and can stack if CyBloc has multiple traits with similar or related effects. They also vary in rarity: common, rare and super rare. The new CyBloc is more likely to inherit the characteristics of its mentor. The new CyBloc may also acquire a trait naturally without a mentor, although this is much less likely to happen. Common traits are more likely to be acquired or inherited naturally from CyBloc’s mentors, while rare and ultra-rare traits are less likely to be acquired or inherited naturally. Features are always positive (no feature negatively affects CyBloc’s performance), so a CyBloc with more features is better and more valuable.

2. Character level classification
CyBloc’s rarity determines the range of starting skill levels and subsequent growth potential.
CyBloc is divided into 5 different categories. The overall skill level and rarity of each category are shown in the figure. Everyone can collect according to their needs and wallet capabilities.

3. Character skills
CyBloc’s 6 football skills are: tackling, passing, dribbling, cross, shooting and fitness. CyBlocs are born with a base level (i.e. 1) for each skill, which is randomly generated based on their class.
CyBloc earns 1 free skill point at every level (including level 1), up to a max level of 100. These free skill points can be assigned to any of CyBloc’s six skills, up to a maximum of 60 skill points per skill.

Total Skill Level Aggregate Requirements: Whenever a new CyBloc is minted, all six of its skill levels must fall within a defined range, depending on its class. If a new CyBloc (level 1) does not have the sum of all six skills in the relevant range, its skill level will be re-rolled until the sum meets this requirement.

Overall Rating: As shown in the table above, the combined cap (maximum) of all six skill levels for level 1 Legendary CyBloc is 325, compared to 425 at level 100. Using this maximum possible sum of 425, the overall rank can be determined by summing CyBloc’s skills and dividing by 425. This overall rating is important when it comes to exhibition games, as only CyBloc teams with a similar average overall range can compete against each other.

4. Level and experience
Newly minted CyBlocs start at level 1 and can grow up to level 100.
CyBloc levels up and earns a free skill point for every 100 experience points (XP) she/he earns. For example, CyBloc will reach level 2 with 100 XP, then level 3 after 100 XP, etc. CyBloc’s 100 XP accumulation resets when leveling up.
Note: CyBloc resets to level 1 and 0 XP when NFTs are transferred, traded, or lent to other users.
5. Role and nationality
Every CyBloc NFT is born with a random nationality from 200 countries. With the release of the Stadium Manager feature in the Phase 3 update, CyBloc teammates who share a country or stadium with each other may receive special boosts during matches if they have the appropriate traits.
6. Game statistics
In the game, CyBloc match statistics are stored and updated after each match, which include:
Number of games played
Number of games won and lost
Goals
Assists
Number of key events won
Percentage of winning in key events played

7. Exhibition match
Users can enter exhibition mode and have their CyBloc compete in casual PvP matches.
This mode will provide a more relaxing gaming experience where most users can practice, enjoy and get some rewards as it will feature CyBall’s main Play-to-Earn mechanics.
CyBall’s matching system will ensure that only teams with similar average overall ratings can be matched against each other, creating a fair playground for all users.
There are 2 types of exhibition competitions:

8. League (Advanced PvP)
League mode is where user competition rises to the top of the ladder, which runs on a season-by-season basis and may be split into multiple levels to cater for different levels of teams.
Users must create and register a team of 7 Cyblocs (5 starters and 2 substitutes) at the start of the season. These lineups will remain the same for any given season.
At the start of each scheduled league game, team owners must choose which 5 CyBlocs will play and which 2 will sit on the bench.
At the end of each season, teams are rewarded and promoted or relegated based on their performance.

9. Championship
Championships are prestigious events that showcase only the best teams at the highest level.
To enter, users must be invited by the tournament organizer. After accepting the invitation, users can go ahead and create®ister teams of 7 Cyblocs (5 starters and 2 substitutes) for specific tournaments. These lineups will remain the same throughout the tournament.
At the start of each scheduled tournament game, team owners must choose which 5 CyBlocs will play and which 2 will sit on the bench.
At the end of each game, teams will be rewarded based on their scores. Each CyBloc on the winning team will also receive a championship trophy, which will remain on their profile.

10. Training mode
Training mode will be where users can upgrade CyBloc faster without consuming any energy.
These game modes only give CyBlocs experience, not Play-to-Earn rewards.
There are 2 different training modes:
[1] 3V3 Arena
The 3v3 Battle Stadium will be the standard PvE mode of the game, with the same manual battles as the PvP mode, except the opponents will be computer-generated.
[2] Hire a coach
Hire-a-Coach, also known as automatic training mode, allows CyBloc to be trained without user input or attention during training.
In this mode, CyBlocs can be automatically put into training in exchange for $CBT.
Economic Model
CyBall is a dual-token mode.
CyBloc Token (CBT) is an ERC-20 and BEP-20 token with no fixed supply, which is the main governance, utility, and special Play-to-Earn reward token of CyBall.
$CBT can be obtained in the following 3 ways:
Participate in various PvP modes — — Exhibits, Leagues and Tournaments
Earn income from Cyloans
Reward for performing various activities that contribute to the ecosystem
Users must spend $CBT to enjoy the following features:

Experience
CyBall is an exciting and competitive turn-based soccer card game that combines different elements of strategy, simulation and chance, where players compete to see who can score the most goals. The game combines the gameplay of “Football Manager” and “Pokémon”, with four different game modes, attracting both casual and competitive players with an interesting game experience and a mechanism of play-to-earn, providing players with a variety ways of play-to-earn.
At present, according to relevant reports, YGG, a well-known enterprise, has invested in CyBall and obtained some initial NFT pack for Genesis CyBloc, which will allow YGG to equip at least 1000 CyBall trainees. In addition, YGG co-founder Gabby Dizon will also be an advisor to CyBall.
With the strong investment of YGG, the future development of CyBall can be worth looking forward to!
