Hey guys, we are the team of DappOnline! Here are mainly shares of new information and tutorials related to the DappOnline website and Play-to-Earn tips with new-beginners. Today we’ll talk about Space Misfits from project introduction, gameplay, economic model, and tips together.
Brief Introduction of The Project
Space Misfits is a massively multiplayer online role-playing (MMORPG) game with space cyberpunk theme. Players can drive spaceship in the universe and land on an unknown planet to explore. In the open game world, players can drive the spaceship to sail or fight freely in the universe, collect resources, or log in to the planet to explore, battle and trade outside the spaceship. It is based on player ownership, leveraging the blockchain to ensure that everyone has control over their assets and can manage them as they want.
Space Misfits brings innovative gameplay through a unique, immersive, ever-changing world, not just normal NPC battles. The game narrates the project progress through 4 quarterly releases, iterating new gameplay and themes with each release.
Space Misfits are played by countering specific targets and transporting fuel in convoys to places of scarcity. With Alliance Invasion, powerful Space Misfits allies can be invited to help fend off enemies. Additional expansion of new features, functions and systems will be based on player growth and exploration, which will continue to increase levels of immersion and opportunity.
The core game mechanics are:
Spaceflight and dogfighting
NPC hunting (PVE)
Player to Player (PVP)
Craft and build
Known and unknown Space Exploration
Stations, planets and large ships gameplay
First-person shooter (FPS) mode
Through these modes, players will be able to enter various scenarios with different perspectives and styles.
Level up details
Space Misfits is based on seasons, rather than a traditional linear game, with a definite start and end. Turning into a fun and sustainable, player-driven world of story and lore by building the base game, letting the community drive each subsequent season.
To keep things running well, the following season plans are in place:
Season 1 — Survival:
This season focuses on the independent development of each Misfit, trying to survive, build your fleet, pilot the best ships, and establish dominance in the current system, moving towards new goals and achievements. This will include NFT exchanges, player-to-game marketplaces, ships, turrets, mods and parts forging, and telemetry implementation. King Station remains our only home now…
Season 2 — Team Up:
Now our solar system is no longer such a desolate place, and is even starting to grow! Orion Misfits makes these systems a hospitable ecosystem, making it a very beneficial area for both new and old visitors. Misfit needs to come together to defend their resources and keep them safe. Players can conduct activities by offering NTF and prizes.
Season 3 — Discover:
In this season, 7 systems will appear, and it is now a thriving ecosystem that continues to expand into the universe. It’s time for the Orion Misfits branch, which kicks off space exploration this season and discovers new world abilities with additional space stations and planetary interactions. This season will also open up player-to-player engagement, with game assets synced across the Metaverse.
Season 4 — Coming soon
Players will be able to choose from a variety of characters in Space Misfits. Each character gives players a chance to win BITS that can be used to purchase game gear.
3. Short trip
In this game mode, players will engage in Rogue-like gameplay in procedurally generated levels. As each level is completed, players must travel through the gates of space to enter the new system and complete quests, which can be done both alone and with others. The further the player progresses, the higher the reward. Players must choose to continue collecting more rewards through the level, or give up their progress to get the rewards they currently collect. If a player loses their ship in this game mode, all rewards including their ship will be lost.
4. Space Station
The space station is the central hub for each system, and each will contain a marketplace, forge, space agents and hangers, as well as private areas for gatherings. A space station is a refuge from the harshness of space, and each system contains at least one place for players to take refuge, store ships and items, conduct business, and hang out with other players.
The hanger is where the player can access their entire inventory inside the space station, and is where all the ships, turrets, modules, resources, and other items that the player owns inside the space station are stored.
A repair service is available in the hanger, where players can repair damaged ships they’ve taken in space. Damage charges are paid in BITS and will be burnt upon collection.
Every ship must be refueled, which cost BITS to pay in the hanger, and will also be burned in the end.
Every space station has a hanger, in which players must pay a fee to store their items. The more items stored in the hangers, the more BITS they have to pay. Paying every day for each hanger, BITS will be burned.
If a player owes a hanger, they won’t be able to get their item back until that debt is paid off. If a player is inactive for a period of time, their fees will accrue. Players may decide to sell their items in the hanger to reclaim their BITS to cover the hanger storage fee.
The hanger also manages the ship’s gear. Players can buy items in the market and equip them on the ships. Players can install and remove their items from the ship and manage all their items in the hanger.
Owning assets allows players to craft ships, turrets, modules, weapons, and various other items in the game. Blueprints are required within the forge to craft items, as well as the materials (minerals and BITS) needed to complete a given build. New blueprints are available through the Space Misfits store.
Currently, every forged item is stored on-chain and is also backed up in Space Misfits’ central database.
Non-player character NPC can be found in the asteroid belt and tourist area, and we can defeat NPC to collect resources to complete the task. When you defeat an NPC, you can get BITS or items on her/him as a reward.
Players engage in NPC confrontations ranging from small fighters to heavy fighters, cruisers and aircraft carriers, all of which are unique and hard to beat. Players who provide more output in battles with NPC get the highest “boss” rewards.
Players can choose which faction they want to explore, and each faction offers different skills. For example, one faction might increase turret damage, while others increase armor and shield health.
The initial launch will be 3 different factions that players can choose from. Each faction offers different rewards when players earn their faction’s Powerplay. Players will be able to choose their faction and decide which skills they want their characters to focus on.
Space Misfits will be launched on Ethereum and bridged to Binance Smart Chain for cross-chain support, and they plan to support other efficient EVM compatible chains in the future. Tokens can be used by depositing CROWN into your game account using Metamask.
Players will be able to earn CROWN rewards through in-game proof of work by participating in various events, including but not limited to:
- Events — Quests — Faction Power Games — Tournaments — Recycling Center Rewards.
Play to Earn and Staking/Staking Rewards have a combined 50% distribution and will be adjusted over time based on DAO votes.
Space Misfits is a great space game where every solar system is automatically generated with thousands of systems and planets to explore. In addition to traveling through space in a spaceship, players can also dock with the spaceship at the space station, walk freely with their characters, and use the services provided by each space station.
At the beginning of the year, 3D game Space Misfits announced that it was backed by Animoca Brands, which became its main backer. Animoca Brands’ extensive experience in developing top blockchain games will be an invaluable tool for the Space Misfits team and allow it to expand its user base.
The current gas-fee-free environment of Space Misfits makes blockchain transactions easier to use. Most importantly, game developers can create a better reward system that gives players a chance to earn rewards from in-game missions.
As a sandbox MMO, Space Misfits focuses not on following a linear narrative, but on allowing players to create and experience their own stories. By giving players more control over the entire game and turning key in-game assets into NFTs, Space Misfits hopes to empower players like never before.
